I’ve got a super delicious recipe for you today. I’m a die hard lover of non-vegetarian food . Every Sunday I make a nonveg dish at home. So today, being Sunday, I made an experimental chicken curry.
Why I call it an experimental recipe is because I didn’t follow any particular recipe, didn’t follow a particular ingredients list, I just made it somehow and to my surprise it came out to be really delicious.
So here’s the recipe of my experimental chicken curry :
Garlic – Ginger paste (freshly pound) : 1 cup
Onions (finely chopped) : 6-7 (medium-big)
Tomato paste : 4-5 (medium-big)
Cinnamon stick(2),green cardamom(8), cloves(8), black pepper(8), shahjeera(2tsp), coriander seeds (2tsp), red chilli whole (6) : grind them into a fine powder
Salt to taste
Kashmiri red chilli : 2 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1tsp
Garam masala : 1 tsp
Chicken masala : 2 tsp
First marinate the chicken with turmeric, red chilli powder and a pinch of salt for about 15-30 mins. Then roast it on high flame in a kadhai with very little oil. Keep the chicken pieces aside. In the same kadhai add ginger garlic paste. Fry it until the raw flavour goes away. Then add the finely chopped onions. Sauté till golden brown. Add the tomato paste and sauté until it leaves oil on the sides. Then add the finely ground masala. Sauté this mixture for about 8-10 mins.
Then add the chicken pieces to it. Mix well and then add water to the consistency you want to have of the gravy. Add salt , red chilli powder and chicken masala to it.Cover it with a lid and let it simmer for 20-25 mins. Sprinkle it with fresh coriander leaves and garam masala powder.
Your delicious chicken curry is ready to serve.
You can have it both by rice and chapati.
